ABOUT US

Our mission statement

Because of our own difficult first-hand experiences, we want to change the approach to the care system in the UK so we put people first and we give families some comfort in knowing they will receive the best care available to them.

Trained, compassionate skilled Carers are central to our core values and we recognise them and reward them for their work ethic. We all know first-hand that personal and reliable care is invaluable.

We want as many people as possible to be able to choose to stay in their own homes for as long as they possibly can and we want all families to enjoy those special memorable moments safe in the knowledge their loved ones are in capable caring hands.

We care passionately. We believe we have all the ingredients to enhance the quality of care by catering to the needs of individuals and their families to deliver an outstanding care service.

Our Carers uphold our reputation and are valued in the community. They are themselves part of our own community of special people wanting to deliver the highest standard of care upholding the principles of kindness and compassion to give our clients dignity and respect and their families the greatest gift of all – peace of mind.

Who we are

Aim Supported Services is a family owned and run home care business which was founded by Alison Courtney. With a great deal of experience in the healthcare sector combined with passion for looking after elderly people especially when she reflected on the needs of her own grandmother.
Her passion is to provide a person centred home care service that considers fully the needs of the individuals being cared for, including but not limited to cultural, traditional and personal.

Why choose Aim Supported Services?

Aim Supported Services specialise in providing home care to dependent adults, carefully matching personalities to most of our clients.

Positive recommendations

We have grown through word of mouth and positive recommendations. Our consistently good service to our clients and carers has enabled us to become one of the largest specialist agencies for live-in home care in the UK. Relief Professionals has clients throughout the country, from Scotland to the Channel Islands and we select, recruit and train our carers to look after their clients’ wishes.

Regulated Service

Our Local Area Advisors are spread all over the UK, and visit our clients regularly, to complement the service given by our head office. Relief Professionals is registered with the Care Quality Commission and our most recent inspection gave us a very positive report (see report). We work closely with Social Services Departments and health professionals.

We look after our carers

We know that if our carers are happy and confident in their abilities, they will do a good job. This is why we give all new carers a two-week induction training course (including a two-day dementia course), and every carer comes back for a yearly update. We also have a specialist carer support team, who are there to offer help, advice and a listening ear to all of our carers, and our Local Area Advisors will visit our carers, if ever they want or need help, advice or just a chat.

Fast Response

Our support staff of 15 people are there to make sure that we have all the procedures working well to act quickly and efficiently on each client’s behalf, including our ability to start work for a client often within 24 or 48 hours of being asked
